The ruler is crafted with a layer of heavy strap leather and a 1/4″ layer of neoprene rubber. Each side has a different sensation. At 1 1/2″ wide and 12″ long it is a compact but robust strap.
A small instrument that packs quite a wallop. I like the leather on one side; neoprene rubber on the other. My default self discipline activity is strapping the hands, the erstwhile school punishment in Canada. Very effective in this activity but also rapping the knuckles, punishment to the thighs and the butt cheeks. An excellent, well rounded useful instrument. Beaver Tail Paddle
This is not a stock item; I saw it among the photos on the profile of Domin81 on FetLife. It took me back to elementary school and a display by a peer who did some trapping; the display included a beaver tail. I wondered what it would feel like to be disciplined by it. Gord said, “Genuine beaver paddles eh! Highly recommended for helping your submissive or bottom sing our national anthem with gusto. I bought the tanned beaver tails from an old saddle maker that was retiring….when they are gone, they are gone.” and in a comment on my FetLife profile, “I think you will find that the beaver paddle will provide a different sensation as the beaver tail seems to grip the skin on impact.” I tried it on my hands and later on my arse – a great instrument – I recommend it.

Very effective! The Ruler gives a great wallop, and impact sound. I use it mainly on my partners buttocks, thighs and lower arms; resulting in many begs for mercy. My partner said of The Ruler – “Well, it ain’t for beginners” and thanks me for the tender spots The Ruler leaves. Don’t be fooled by it’s small size; this is a powerful addition to our play.
